St. John the Evangelist Church supports Habitat

Gladys Lowther and Frances Fall - A car-full for the ReStore

St. John the Evangelist church in Crapaud devoted its worship service on Sunday, October 14th, to the theme of Habitat as a ‘hands-on’ expression of faith — loving-service to our neighbours through concrete action.  With readings and prayers which reflected that, the ‘sermon’ for the day was a presentation about Habitat for Humanity as a channel for community development and practical help for limited-income families to transform their lives through home ownership.  The congregation made a cash donation and also presented a car-full of items from the church’s summertime Thrift Shop, which will give a boost to the ReStore.
