Transition Students Lend Some Hands

Students from Holland College’s Transition program recently volunteered with Habitat for Humanity PEI and helped build the baby barn’s for the three 2011 Charlottetown Builds.

Holland College’s Transition program offers grade 12 students to gain experience in a variety of workplaces. Their goals are:

  • To give Prince Edward Island high school students the opportunity to make informed decisions about post secondary
  • To reignite the learning process for students who may be disengaged in high school through student-centered, activity-based learning
  • To build student confidence and preparedness for the post-secondary world

Habitat for Humanity PEI would like to thank APM for the use of their building for the duration of the barn construction.
