Office Volunteer

Purpose: To carry out the stated purpose of Habitat for Humanity PEI.  The Office Volunteers provide administrative support to HFH PEI office helping the affiliate run the day to day operations.

Responsible to: Office Staff

Time Commitment: Minimum 4 hours per week.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm

Location: HFHPEI Office – 365 Mt Edward Rd, Charlottetown, PE

Position Duties:

  • Assist in preparing letters and newsletters for large mail campaigns
  • Assist with data entry
  • Aid in organizing the office
  • Assist in answering phone calls and making calls
  • Help with general office administration as required (faxing, filing, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Habitat for Humanity philosophy and the desire to promote it
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Previous office experience an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with HFH PEI staff members and volunteers
  • Detail oriented
