Families seeking Habitat homeownership undergo a selection process and, upon acceptance, proceed to purchase their home through an affordable mortgage. Additionally, they contribute a minimum of 500 volunteer hours to Habitat PEI. With the support of Habitat PEI, Habitat homeowners attain the resilience, and self-sufficiency to build more promising futures for themselves and their loved ones.
