2025-26 NHL Playoff Pool Rules

How it works

  • Participants select the order they think teams will finish in the NHL playoffs (from 1st place – 16th place).
  • Points will be awarded to the teams that advance through playoff rounds.
  • Teams that lose a round are eliminated, and therefore worth zero points for that round.
  • Sign up by providing your email address in the Registration form.

 

$20 entry fee: 
$10 to the prize pool, $10 donated to Habitat PEI

Why Enter?

  • Easy to participate (no hockey knowledge necessary!)

Rules

  1. List all NHL playoff teams in the order you think they will finish.
    1. First place → your predicted champion
    2. Last place → first team you think will be eliminated
  2. As the playoffs progress, teams earn you points:
    1. The farther your team goes, the more points you earn.
  3. When the Stanley Cup is claimed, the participant with the highest point total wins the GRAND PRIZE!
  4. Participants have until Saturday April 18th at 10:00am AST to submit their team rankings or they will not be able to participate.
  5. Entry fees must be paid prior to Saturday April 18th at 10:00am AST or participants will not be eligible to participate.
  6. The entry fee will work like a 50/50 draw, with 50% of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity PEI’s Build Fund and the other 50% going to people with the highest point total.
  7. If two or more participants are tied in points at the end of the playoffs, the prize pool will be divided between them.
