Prince Edward Island – On November 26th, 2024, Habitat for Humanity PEI handed over the keys to its newest Habitat Homeowner in Summerside, PEI. This Habitat Home was constructed in 2010, has since been renovated, and is now ready to serve another family. We would like to thank all the volunteers and community partners who helped us renovate this home.

She has proven that overcoming challenges when facing adversity is possible and can lead to achieving your goals. Maricel and her daughter are very grateful for this opportunity and through Maricel’s commitment to work, family, community, and volunteer efforts, she has demonstrated her dedication to Habitat for Humanity PEI and her drive to attain affordable homeownership. Maricel strives to foster a nurturing environment for her daughter to grow and support her endeavors and future goals. Habitat Homeowners are selected based on need, their ability to pay, and their commitment to volunteer 500 hours toward their home and community.
