Terms & Conditions:
1. Eligibility:
The Big Flip furniture flipping contest is open to individuals aged 18 years and above.
Participants must reside on Prince Edward Island.
Employees of Habitat for Humanity PEI or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Contest or helping to set up the Contest shall not be permitted to enter the Contest.
2. Entry Requirements:
To enter the Contest, participants must:
Register online at habitatpei.ca and provide the required information.
Submit a "before" photo of the furniture item they intend to flip, along with a brief description of their intended design concept.
Complete the furniture flip within the designated timeframe and submit an "after" photo of the transformed furniture item, along with a description of the materials and techniques used.
Entries must be received by the deadline specified on the Contest website. Late entries will not be considered.
3. Furniture Flipping Guidelines:
Participants must use their creativity to transform a piece of furniture into a new and improved item. The original piece must be visible in the "before" photo for verification purposes.
Participants are responsible for sourcing their own furniture item for the flip.
The flipped furniture item must be functional and safe to use.
Any hazardous materials or techniques that pose a risk to health or safety are strictly prohibited.
4. Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged based on creativity, craftsmanship, originality, and overall aesthetic appeal by the general public.
Votes will be casted.
5. Prize:
The winner of the Contest will receive a gift card from Kent Building Supplies.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
6. Winner Announcement:
The winner will be announced on our social media platforms and notified via email within the final day the Contest deadline.
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within a week of announcement, an alternative winner may be selected at the discretion of the Organizer.
7. Publicity:
By entering the Contest, participants agree to the use of their name, likeness, and entry materials for promotional purposes without further compensation or permission.
8. Data Protection:
Any personal data provided by participants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent.
9. Agreement to Terms:
Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
10. Modification or Termination:
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest and these terms and conditions without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances or if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Contest.
11. Governing Law:
The Contest and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island.
