This week we hosted a volunteer celebration BBQ at our new office location and we were so happy with the turnout. We had many of our staff, ReStore Volunteers, Build Volunteers, Board Directors, and two of our Future Habitat Homeowners join us in celebrating their accomplishments this year.

We were honored to present Rick with his Volunteer of the Year award, for the second year in a row.

Rick joined Habitat PEI in the fall of 2022 and has made an incredible impact within our organization. Rick started out volunteering his time and energy at our ReStore, but he also shares his creativity, knowledge, expertise, and leadership at our affiliate office. Rick has brought creative solutions to our ReStore’s “donation lull” times to improve our revenue streams, helping to increase our impact in our community. Rick is reliable, hardworking, and brings a wealth of knowledge to our ReStore. He specializes in designing and using our recycled material to bring new life to items that would have been otherwise destined for the landfill. His talents and eye for design are skills to be admired!

All the staff at Habitat PEI consider Rick as so much more than just a volunteer. He is a valued member of our team. We cannot thank him enough for his incredible contributions to our organization.
