Our Local PEI Meaning of Home Winner – Marwa!

The Meaning of Home 2024 Campaign wrapped up at the end of February. This year, Prince Edward Island students in grades 4-6 submitted a total of 170 written entries on “what home means” to them.

Our team at Habitat PEI has the best time reading all of the local entries and it gets even more challenging every year to select one winner for the laptop prize donated by the Government of Prince Edward Island and Natalie Jameson.

On April 11th, we were very happy to surprise our winner, Marwa!! Congratulations, Marwa! We hope you enjoy your brand-new laptop, and we want to thank you again for submitting your entry to this contest.

Marwa’s entry was so sweet, and emotional. We asked her what her inspiration was and she said “with all the war going on in the world, home means so much.”

The fun may not be over yet, as Habitat for Humanity Canada is still in its selection process to pick this year’s National winners. Those winners are expected to be announced by the end of May. Stay tuned!
